ACCOMODATION

INFO

We love having guests and volunteers and kindly request to communicate with us in time for any intended visits. We live here and have lots going on and need some notice so we can be prepared for visitors the best way possible! Preferably at least 24 hours before your intended visit.

We have 3 accommodation options available for visitors to Khula Dharma.

You can either camp, stay in one of our guest rooms or apply for longer term rental of one of our vacant earth homes if available.

OUR Guest Rooms

Our 8 beautiful Earth Rooms are built naturally using traditional Xhosa methods using clay, soil, cow
dung and thatching grass. They offer our guests the opportunity to experience what it feels like to
sleep in a natural home. The main difference you might experience is that these non-toxic buildings,
made from the earth, breathe naturally, regulate moisture and keep warmth in winter and stay cool

in summer.

Fresh linen, bedding and pillows are provided but please bring your own towels. There is a solar light
in each room but no electrical plug points in the rooms. We have chosen this on purpose as we want
the Earth Rooms to be a space to retreat and to be away from the continuous connectivity we have

in most other places. You can however charge your devices in the Pixie, Ubuntu Hall or communal lapa, where you will also have WIFI connection.
Camping is also an option while staying with us. You can pitch your tent or park your caravan at our
quiet camp spot nestled among trees and greenery. Our camping fee includes the use of the Pixie
Palace where you will find powerpoints, communal kitchen etc.
